Today is my first page of my personal journal. I've found that by writing what I feel helps me feel better.
I've been a little depressed lately, mostly from working 2 jobs, the other job is about 80 miles away in one direction, while this other job is only about 1 mile away. The 1st job is in Annandale, MN at a country club, working as a Sous Chef. The Manager is a pretty great guy and I really enjoy working for him. He lets me be a little more creative with the dishes that we serve there. The other job, even though it's close by, it's on a shift that goes from Midnight to 0600, it's a quiet shift so I can't complain too much. I just think that it's the being tired part that is making me feel depressed. I'll try and get some sleep tonight which should make a difference
Formally known as "The Out Of Place Hawaiian".
What I write
here differs from what others see in Person. If I didn't let it out, I just may
explode, something that I rather not have happen...

RE-jected...
I got a letter from the Chief of Police today, denying me of a CCW Permit. It claims that I have insufficient reason to carry a handgun in public.
Work was a bit strange, lots of calls and of difficult ones, turns out that I didn't have to start till 0600 and actually started at 0400... I didn't mind since that I don't have much to do anyway.
The drive on the way home was very tiring and the traffic was heavy. kept trying to stay awake. The heat was a bit much, no cool breeze, only a hot wind blowing through the car.
On the bright side, my high capacity magazine rebuild kit arrived, but won't be able to pick it up until Saturday. I'll also have 2 more high capacity magazines on order.

Synopsis of everything up to this date...
Well another month is coming to a close and nothing entered into my daily journal, maybe I should just put a synopsis of the month instead...
Well, I've applied for my CCW permit and will find out, hopefully in August on the 6th or 7th. I already own a 12 gauge shotgun and a Glock 10 mm handgun. I guess the next logical step would be to sign up for classes and get a degree in Law Enforcement.
I'll find out about getting financial aid soon so that I can sign up for classes. I'll be going to a Law Enforcement handgun training course in September in Oregon. That should be a fun trip.
Well, I guess more later...

Thunder Bunnies - GO!
I couldn't sleep until about 5:00 am, just as fate would have it, the Thunder Bunnies upstairs decided to have some fun... Now the reason that I have named them the Thunder Bunnies is 2 fold, the first is because when they walk, they walk pretty heavy and are always making noises, being dropping things on the floor or stumbling. They don't care about anyone living below them (me). The second is because they seem to have sex almost everyday.
So anyway, I lay down to sleep and I hear the squeaking of the bed and her moaning out loudly, at one point I think they're doing it doggie style because she gets louder as if facing or being up against the wall. Now it seems that his stamina is getting better because this time it lasted what seemed to be about half an hour. Oh, and I think his name is Patrick, or at least that's what it sounded like when she was calling out his (more like yelling it out) name.
I guess it can't be helped, they're young and I'm getting old... maybe I'll end up being the cranky old man that lives downstairs...lol
Well, today started out interesting, because the first thing I get there I have to rewrite a report that I opened for a shaking screen at one of the ticket offices, it seems that a "Field Engineer" didn't like the way I worded the additional comments. I wonder about these so called "FE"'s because it seems that they only do a half a** job when they do something. Then they think that their doing a good job. I think that I could do a better job then they could, when it comes to either replacing a part... the last tech had called the location and just settled for "oh it's ok now" and didn't bother to double check to make sure that it was ok... I understand that they have more to do now, but why not make sure it's fixed the first time around and not have to keep going back?
Oh well, enough dwelling on that, till next time...

Budgets, Movies and The Thunder Bunnies...
Well, yesterday I blew my budget for next week, made the mistake of going to the gun shop to look for accessories for my Glock and ended up buying a Shotgun, a Mossberg 590 12 gauge pump shotgun. Came with a pistol grip if I want to change from the full stock to just a pistol grip. I wished that it came with the heat shield instead, but I can pick that up for an additional $27.00 plus shipping. It's the same type of shot gun used by the Military and Law Enforcement use. I just hope that I can go fire off a couple of shells at the range soon.
I finally got to go see Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menance. The theater was THX equipped and was pretty good, now I can't wait to see Episode II and III.
The latest news about the people upstairs: I'm really begining to hate this guy's car, he has a car alarm and comes and goes at all hours turning off and on his car alarm, the bad part about it is that he parks right in front of my window... Not only that, but his girlfriend is a screamer... lately they've been quiet, but one morning I was woken up by her... I listened for about 3 minutes then went back to sleep.
Other than that, I'm ready for hunting season, so Bambi, Watch Out, I'll be looking for ya... and I'll need to get a fishing license soon because lately the fish have been biting.
With summer here I want to get out and go fishing and can't wait for hunting season... :)

Teeth, Japan and the Glock...
It was a nice day, but ended up storming in the late afternoon. My filling for one of my molars fell out, but have temporaryly filled it with orthodental wax.
It was a slow day this evening. Not much going on in the world of computers at Northwest Airlines, took care of some things that came over the teletype, mostly in Japan. Suprised them when I answered them back in Japanese... :)
Hopefully this coming week, I'll have the chance to get to the gun range to do some shooting.... Went twice the week before last so I didn't go this past week. Iching to try out my handgun with the new slip on grip that I got for it.
I guess that's it for now. More later...

In Need of Motivation..
Well, spent the day doing nothing, it's hard to keep a website up and only if your "inspired" can you still keep it up. I wanted to go to the gun range today to practice my aim and to try out the new slip on grip that I just put on, but the weather was bad and I had to pay my rent which was late...not a good thing... but I'm paid up for this month.
I was also supposed to wash laundry, but got caught up in a new game that I got, Fleet Commander from Jane's, it's just like Harpoon but better because you can micro manage the fleet and do missions all over the world.
I wanted to go see Star Wars yesterday, but found out that the tickets were sold out in advance, even the 3:45 AM show, yep thats right, 3:45 AM. I found out that the theater at the Mall of America ended up showing it 24 hours. I guess I can wait till next time.
Right now on Show Time, they're showing the new episodes of Spawn. Very dark but interesting.

Glock fun
I went shooting yesterday to get out some frustrations, shot a 97% out of 50 rounds. Not bad... Installed a new stainless steel guide rod in the Glock which helped. I was using Blazer 200 grain rounds, which made for an interesting shooting.
On the 18th, was thinking of going to see Star Wars, but the only open show is at 3:15 and 3:45 AM at the Mall of America...I might go, should be interesting to go see a movie that early in the morning.
Well, I guess that's it for now, I'll try to keep up my journal. Check you all laters...

May 1999
Well, yesterday I passed my Basic Handgun Self-Defense Course and am now able to get a concealed carry license. It was an interesting course that dealt with Y2K, Self defense and survival. We also got to train shooting in the dark which was very interesting. Out of 18 rounds that I shot in the dark, I hit 17 and missed one...4 to the head...
Today was real slow at Sam Goody so they let me go home early. It was a beautiful day, but got caught up with a movie and didn't go out till late, walked to the store and back to pick up some stuffs...
I hope that tomorrow I'll have the time to go to the range before going into work at Sam Goody to pratice what I leared from Saturday. Well, I guess that's it for now... Will write more later... and maybe I'll get a picture of me and my gun on my site...

My only entry for March...
Well today I'm 33 years old, not much going on so far, feeling a bit broke and a bit older... but glad that I don't have to work today.
I'm not sure what I'll do today, but I guess I'll figure out something. I bought more ammo for my gun yesterday, loaded up the magazines and am set, hopefully I'll be able to go shooting on Saturday.
My aim is getting better, the last time I was hitting center mass and now have to work on my grouping.
We had a snowstorm on Monday, got a total of 16 inches of snow by Tuesday.
Well, I guess that's it... maybe more tomorrow...

Just another day
Got 2 more magazines for my handgun, but unfortunately, because the 10mm never really caught on, it'll be harder to get ammo for it (or at least I hope not) So I guess I'll be getting in the future a .40 Caliber Glock.
Oh yeah, looking forward to when the movie "Wing Commander" comes out next month, based on the video game of the same name! Another movie that looks good is 8mm, guess I'll be keeping busy...
Either way, I'm all set to go to the gun range and shoot of some rounds. Good thing I'm off tomorrow. Well, I guess more tomorrow...

My first ride-a-long
Last night went to visit a friend who is a police officer and got to ride along with him. Was interesting watching him work. First one was a traffic stop for a person going 45 in a 25 mph zone. The guy was pretty dumb, he stopped in the middle of the road, then when my friend commanded him to move off the road, he just sat there. After about 3 times he told him to move off the road, he went over to the car and talked to him.
His wife did all the talking but she wasn't the driver. I guess he felt sorry for the guy with a wife like that, so he let the guy go with a warning. We eventually went to a place that he watched the cars go by with his radar. Eventually a car sped by and we went to do a traffic stop.
After running a check on the driver a call came over that someone drove off without from the gas station without paying for the gas, so it was his lucky day, we turned around and sped off in the other direction looking for the guy. We didn't find him and drove back to the station so my friend could get a report.
Well, the rest of the evening was quiet and eventually came back home at around 2 am, I thought that I would be able to get up for work later, but ended up waking up at about 9:00 when I was supposed to be at work by 6 am.
Well, the rest was usual, but I guess that'll be that for now. More later...

10mm and Off Duty work...
Well, went to the range to fire off some rounds with my 10mm, and I must say, my hand is a bit sore from the recoil of the handgun. The first round that I fired off was a bit of a surprise, I wasn't expecting the recoil to be as much as it did. After the next couple of rounds, I got used to the weapon.
As for today, well, it was an exciting day. I was planning on going to drink my beverage that I had just purchased when 4 young gentlemen walked into the store, I had a feeling that they were going to do something so I told the Store Manager to hold my bottle and I proceeded to watch them. About 15 minutes later, I heard a wrapper of a CD being removed, I had just turned to look because one of them was nervously looking at me, when I saw one of them crushing up a CD wrapper and place it into his pocket.
As they were walking to the entrance of the store, I took a quick look in the area that they were in and found an empty CD security case and then informed the Manager that they had stolen a CD. He then went after them and had another clerk call the Mall security.
After returning he said that he confronted the 4 young men and they threatened him when he asked them to turn out they're pockets. Eventually he had let them go.
Well, I guess that’s it for my exciting day, cleaned and oiled up the Glock, magazines are full and ready for anything that might happen, which I hope that they don't, but it sure gives me a feeling of security with a weapon ready just in case. Oh, and I do make sure that the weapon is unloaded and no round is in the chamber, but do have the magazines close by in case I have to lock and load.

New Toy
Another couple of days has gone by, and no new entries...until today. Thursday I finally bought a Glock - G20, a 10mm handgun and have been anxious to fire off a couple of rounds at the shooting range. Seems like every time I go and buy something major, the weather is kinda bad, when I went to pick it up on my lunch hour from work, it was snowing pretty heavy and the roads were very icy.
That day, I thought I had to get to work by 5:00 pm, but it turned out that I didn't work at all that night. I decided to stay around a bit and see if the person that was supposed to work would be able to make it in, if not, I volunteered to cover for her. Well, she showed up so I went home.
When I got home, I tried to see if the holster that I got for it would fit, but it didn't, and it turns out that the extra clip that I got was the wrong one. I think that the sales person that sold it to me didn't know his firearms.
Well, I had to work today at 10 am, got into work late, but because I do a good job there, I was forgiven. Work was boring, mostly because during the week it's slow at the mall, so nothing major went on. After work I decided to see if I could find a store that carried the holster and magazine that I needed for my handgun, but didn't find it. I ended up getting hearing and eye protection for when I go shooting.
Tomorrow, I'll go return the items and see if they have the correct parts that I need. If not, then I'll just get a refund. I hope that my friend will get up in time so that we can go shooting at the range tomorrow.
Till then...

A somewhat exciting day
Well, now I know that I've been slacking...but work comes first, then studying for the MCSE in NT, then the website, if they had a MCSE for Frontpage 98, I'd be studying that...
Last night a friend came over, hate to say but he's worse at money matters than I! He seems like he's always in debt, living in a place that's waaaayyyyy beyond his means and working for a company that doesn't pay they're employee's (slaves) enough.
In a way I was glad that I was let go from Micron, but I wished that I wasn't stupid to let them let me go and leave on my own. In a sense, it was for the best, kinda like a cold slap in the face to wake me up from my long slumber...
I keep urging him to move on and find something that would pay more, but I guess when you get comfortable in a job, you just don't want to leave, no matter how bad it really is. I was like that, but I know that he won't listen.
Today was an interesting day, towards the end of my day at Northwest, I kinda saved the day...lol I got a call from a department that needed to have the connection to the alliance airlines up and available, but after checking, it wasn't what it should have been. I checked with the networking people and they checked with the airline mutual database to find out that no one had known that the line was down. I then created a trouble report for them to check on it and had to call the person in charge of the alliance.
That pretty much made my day. After that, I went to the sporting goods store and ordered a Glock, 10 mm in a 4.60 inch barrel (total length: 7.62 inches) I can't wait to get it next week, then I can finally go target shooting or hunting...
Well, I guess I'll call it a day, I'm pretty tired from all the excitement...must be getting old....hahahaha

Slackin...
I guess I've been slacking with the updates to this journal, but then again, I could just put, same as yesterday...lol (or same ol' s***, different day...)
Yesterday I just had to have some Ribs, so after picking up my paycheck from Sam Goody, I went to a place called "The Rib Shack", if you should ever come up to Minnesota, and love ribs, then you'll just have to go there. I think the owner is the same person that makes the "Famous Dave's" BBQ sauce.
Paid my rent before I sat down to eat and having to go to work... all that night after that, I was stuffed... had that ol' Polynesian Paralysis creeping over me, but I coped... I also ended up buying the Special edition of Blade Runner so after I got home, I watched it.
I guess not much going on for today, I need to return the Visual Studio 6.0 tonight to my friend, maybe end up going out to do something...but with his new child, don't think so, but if I can, I'll see if he'll let me use his net connection, he's got the cable modem and that way I can download some self study courses from the Company I'm employed by, one of the files was about 12 megs!
Oh well, till tomorrow or later tonight...

New Movie, Old Car
Gee, has it been that long since I've last updated this page? Doesn't seem like about 3 days has gone by since the last entry, and that was last month!
Well, Tuesday, one of the staff at Sam Goody got sick and since I was there, they asked me to work that night...boy was I tired! I was pretty much draggin at the end of the night, but found out that Blade on DVD is on sale for $19.99... I just might have to get it, also found Willie Wonka and the Chocolate factory... but I also want to get Blade Runner, the special edition... oh well... one or the other...
Today was pretty usual and not much happening at Northwest Airlines... but I did get a recall notice on my 86 Mercury Sable, it seems that the engine mount bolts have a tendency to get corroded and eventually the engine will fall out... I'll have to take it in soon and have it corrected. Maybe something that I can do tomorrow....
Well, I guess that's it... maybe more tomorrow...
